JOB VACANCY NOTICE
Woodbury County, Iowa, a governmental unit as prescribed by the Iowa Code, will accept applications in Room 701 of the Woodbury County Court House, 620 Douglas Street, Sioux City, Iowa for the following position:
SOCIAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT TITLE: (2) F/T Targeted Case Managers ENTRY SALARY: $17.76/hour (Plus Benefits)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Case Manager will be responsible and accountable for effectively coordinating the intake and eligibility process of the Intellectually Disabled and Developmentally Disabled (ID\DD) population; facilitate the development of the Individual Comprehensive Plan; assist and advocate for consumer in obtaining services; monitor services in relation to appropriateness; handle crisis intervention, mediation of conflicts related to consumer services; maintain master consumer records and correspondence and all other required consumer data.
QUALIFICATIONS AND PREREQUISITES: Must possess Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in the Human Services field or an Iowa license to practice as a R.N. Nurses must have 3 years experience in the delivery of nursing or human services specific to the ID\DD population; others must have at least 1 year related work experience specific to the ID\DD population group. Must possess knowledge of the social services programs and services to be coordinated and monitored. Must have computer knowledge, data entry experience and good organizational skills; possess personal, reliable transportation, insurance and a valid driver's license; physical ability to visit ID\DD population in private settings; ability to communicate tactfully and courteously with others and maturity to safeguard confidential information; ability to maintain accurate records; ability to maintain personal equilibrium under unusual social interaction conditions. A copy of an official transcript directly from the college, a completed County Application form and a resume are required. SECONDARY ROADS DEPARTMENT
TITLE: F/T Equipment Operator – 2 Positions ENTRY SALARY: $19.27/hour (Plus Benefits)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for the safe, efficient operation and routine maintenance of a variety of heavy and light equipment used in the construction and maintenance of Secondary Roads in accordance with State and County standards, and for the performance of duties as a laborer or any other work and/or duties pertinent to the aforesaid which may be assigned by a supervisor.
Work Headquarters: Two positions are open at the following Woodbury County Maintenance garage: District #2, Moville, Iowa Maintenance Garage, or any other location that may be assigned from time to time within Woodbury County.
APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of the operation of a variety of heavy and light equipment preferred, including but not limited to bulldozers, scrapers, motor graders, front endloaders, backhoes and trucks. Knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance specifications and the ability to perform the required maintenance; knowledge of safety standards relative to scope of responsibilities; and practical knowledge of reading and interpreting grade stakes and blueprints. Ability to work with hands, to perform routine heavy manual labor (50 to 85 pounds of dead lifting and to walk stairs carrying 50 pounds) for extended periods under possibly adverse weather conditions. Ability to communicate tactfully and courteously with co-workers and the general public.
Candidate for hire must pass background check, physical exam and drug screening prior to employment. Must furnish proof of a current Iowa Commercial Driver's License(Class A preferred or ability to obtain within 60 days). A completed County Application and a resume are required.
